Wow last week we were hit by a massive storm here in northern France…
Roofs were torn off…
Telephone lines were down everywhere…
A lot of the roads were blocked by fallen trees..
The worst part was our electricity was cut off for 4 days!
Apparently the storm ripped through the West Coast and completely destroyed all the electricity pylons…
Luckily we only had minor damage to the roofs on some of our outbuildings…
It was kind of tough however not having electricity for 4 days!!!
As some of you may know were in the process of installing a solar system…
We haven’t installed any of the solar panels yet because was still waiting for planning permission…
Basically this is going to be a completely off grid DIY system…
Back in the summer I had built one of the batteries….
The first of four…
However nothing was hooked up but all of the equipment was screwed to the wall and unboxed…
During the first evening when we had no power I scrambled around with a torch and managed to get everything hooked up…
Wow that battery powered all the essentials for two days…
- Lighting
- Starlink satellite Internet connection
- The fridge freezer
- The chest freezer
We had the log burner going full blast to heat the house….
However after two days the battery was starting to run very low…
And I didn’t have any of the cabling of fuses to hook up the solar panels.
Dave and I went to the local hire shop to try and rent a generator…
When we asked if they had a generator for hire the men behind the counter started laughing!!
I guess because there was no way anyone was going to have a generator because they were all out on hire…
We also looked round all of the shops and everybody was sold out of generators…
Eventually through a friend of a friend we managed to purchase a very old second-hand generator…
It barely started, leaked fuel, but got us through the final day….
The power finally came on yesterday evening to much relief…
So things are finally getting back to normal here….
The funny thing was whilst all of this was going on I was making ClickBank sales…
You see I had implemented a new strategy at the beginning of last week….
Wow this strategy only took me about an hour to set up….
I was promoting a diet product and to be honest I didn’t expect to make any serious sales…
Obviously whilst all of the storm and power cut stuff was going on that ClickBank promotion was the last thing on my mind…
This morning I was amazed when I logged onto my ClickBank account and saw a crazy amount of sales…
So what was the strategy I implemented?
