Life often puts challenges in our path…
- Challenges that we have to overcome or we fall back.
- Challenges that are to do with weight and diet..
- Challenges that are to do with taking things on at work….
And these can be pretty stressful…
But sometimes we can create our own challenges, fun challenges….
They can still be stressful, but in a more lighthearted way….
Because we create them….
Not having them pushed on us…
They can often be more meaningful to ourselves….
So, I set myself a little challenge….
To beat the unofficial record for an electric car to go from Lands End to John o Groates…
From one end of the UK in the Southwest to the other in the Northwest in Scotland…
A distance of 860 miles…
The record as far as Dave and I could tell was 19 hours and 47 minutes….
And you have to stick to the speed limits !!
Last Tuesday we set off at 9.40pm from Lands End…
Dave was co-driver….
So I could get some sleep in the back of the Tesla !!
We arrived at Lands End at 4.15 pm the next day…
Total time 18 hours and 35 minutes !!
We beat the record…
Along the way we overcame
- A non Tesla broken electric charger at Lands End
- Really bad weather that flooded the motorway
- Tractors with hay-wagons on narrow roads
We arrived at John o Groates in Scotland with just 2% range left in the battery !!
Overall it was a great experience….
What challenge would you set for yourself?
– One that stretches you a bit…..
– One that takes you out of your comfort zone…..
– One that helps you grow as a person or as a team…..
Set yourself a challenge to build
a list of 200 people…
You CAN make BIG money online from tiny small lists..
Watch a short video I’ve made about this 🙂
Listen, this is all about simple match….
To make $100K per year all you need is….
200 people to spend $500 a year….
That’s the equivalent of less than $43 a month!
I told you the math was simple…
And you can do that too….
Movie reviews
Apocalypse Now The Final Cut
You don’t have to get it right first time
Francis Ford Coppola is one of the great movie directors…
Arguably his masterpiece is Apocalypse Now…
It was first released in 1979 and won lots of awards and was a financial success…
But Coppola was not happy with the version that was released….
In 2001 another version was released with extra footage Apocalypse Now Redux…
This was a much longer version, which to be honest I thought didn’t flow very well…
At the end of our “End to End” road trip…
Dave got us some tickets to a special 1 day only screening of another version of the movie…
Apocalypse Now The Final Cut…
Was this going to be 3rd time lucky ?
Yes !!
Arguably the best version yet….
The Story flows much better…
Plus seeing the movie on a huge IMAX screen was pretty incredible…
And to top it all off after the movie there was a Q&A with the director Francis Ford Coppola…
This was via live video link…
So….
3 edits and 40 years to get it right ?
The first release was good enough to make $150 million…
So you don’t have to get it right first time, just good enough…
Have a wonderful day whatever you’re doing,
