I was enjoying a lazy Saturday afternoon….
Watching an episode of Columba….
And casually browsing Facebook on my phone…
When I suddenly started seeing lots of very worrying posts…
They were all from Infusionsoft users complaining that they couldn’t send email?
There was post after post…
What was going on?
For some reason Yahoo has blocked all email from Infusionsoft…
I guess they’ve put them on a blacklist…
This also affects other email providers…
Mainly because Yahoo owns quite a lot of email companies….
What this meant was about 5000 people on my email list weren’t receiving my emails…
In fact, every time I sent an email out I was getting about 5000 email bounces!!!
This is a big deal if you are an Internet marketer…
The worst part was, there was no way Infusionsoft could fix this…
Not great especially since I spend over 1K a month on Infusionsoft and all of the integration software!
To be honest I’ve been thinking about leaving Infusionsoft for a long time….
Several years in fact!
But it’s such a pain in the A to move I had put it off!!
If you run your business on a platform for 10 years you have a lot invested in it…
It’s not just my email list…
I would have to move my email list…
Shopping cart…
Rebuild all of my order pages…
Rebuild all of my upsell pages…
Move my entire membership site to a new platform…
And a bunch of other stuff…
I made the decision to move to a new platform….
Wow technology has changed a lot in 10 years…
10 years ago there weren’t many people doing automation…
Now everybody’s doing it….
And there are loads of really easy-to-use platforms…
Such as…
kartra
kajabi
Groovefunnels
MeshApex
Wow after looking at some of these platforms I was ready to jump ship…
They are so easy-to-use….
And I really like the idea of having everything under one roof…
Infusionsoft is great because it gives you unlimited flexibility…
But with unlimited flexibility comes complexity!!!
Plus if you want to do anything extra you need to purchase a separate software package from a different company!
It all becomes incredibly expensive and worst of all incredibly complicated…
So the thought of using something like Kartra really appeal to me…
Until I had a chat with Dave…
I was explaining to him how cool Kartra was…
He asked me one simple question…
Which company has the best email deliverability…
And
Which service is the easiest to send an email out from…
Well obviously that had to be Berserker Mail.
This is a brand-new service which is very expensive and very high-end…
It would mean using different software programs as Berserker mail is just an email platform…
I would still need a shopping cart and a new membership site…
After chatting with Dave I had a moment of clarity…
I run an email marketing company!
Email deliverability is the most important factor in our business…
Not ease-of-use, or how cool something is…
But whether our contacts actually receive their emails!
So I’ve opened an account with Berserker Mail…
And purchased a new shopping cart called Thrive cart…
I’m also in the process of rebuilding my membership site which hosts all of the products…
To be honest I’m not sure how much money I’ll save if anything…
But the email deliverability should be better…
I’m still in the process of setting everything up…
I’ve only imported around 5000 contacts into Berserker Mail so far…
I should complete the import of my email list within the next two weeks!!

At the end of the day today the page will be taken down.
Chainsaw Dave
Over the weekend we had the local farmer deliver a huge trailer full of logs…
He dumped them out round the side of the house next to the barn…
So this week Dave and I have been busy with the chainsaw cutting…
Every lunchtime we spend 45 minutes chopping and cutting…
It’s a huge pile…
And we’ve only made a small dent so far…
But we reckon we’ve got enough wood to last us the entire winter…
And the amazing thing is it only cost around hundred euros!
Dave is quite handy with the chainsaw…
So I’ve given him the nickname chainsaw Dave…
Must go now as I got a ton of work to do on the new membership site…
Talk soon,
Sarah
