I meant to get this interview out much sooner however there was a problem…

On Tuesday my Internet went down…

Unfortunately there was a technical problem with my broadband satellite dish…

The main component on the satellite dish called a Tria had failed…

Luckily for me I had actually met the CEO of the broadband company a few years back at a tradeshow…

I still had his business card buried at the bottom of my handbag…

I had never thrown it out because I realise one day it might come in handy…

So I called up at home and believe it or not he remembered me…

Wow he got straight onto it…

He called the guys up in the warehouse…

And made sure they shipped out a new Tria to me from the UK to France ASAP…

And you know what’s fascinating…

I actually had the new component which is called a trio in my hands in 22 hours…

Just shows what can be done if you know the right people…

Dave and I then spent Wednesday afternoon fitting the new part to the satellite dish…

We didn’t really expect it to work…

We kinda figured we would have to re-align the dish…

As a satellite broadband dish has to be much more accurately aligned than a television satellite dish…

The amazing thing is we change the tria over….

Connected it all up…

And it worked!!

My current satellite broadband dish only has to last another 12 months or so…

That’s because space X will be launching the Staar link broadband service pretty soon…

In fact there starting their beta program in six months in America and Canada…

This will be much cheaper and also much faster than the current system where using…

I guess technology marches on….
